The hardware inside is powerful enough to edit video or run demanding applications like AutoCAD without breaking much of a sweat.

It’s also durable: Lenovo says it can survive drops from up to four feet high (though we didn’t try these ourselves), thanks in part to its reinforced corners and edges that are designed to absorb shocks as they happen.

It remains an excellent choice if iOS apps are what you use often or if security matters immensely to you, but there are some other choices out there that might be preferable overall nowadays.

How To Choose The Best Business Laptop in Kenya

Here are the things to look for when buying a business laptop in Kenya.

a). CPU

Intel Core i-series, AMD Ryzen, and Threadripper processors are all worthy choices for a business laptop.

The way the processor is designed can have an effect on battery life as well.

b). Screen Size

13-inch screens allow you to get more work done without having to zoom in too much or scroll around a lot.

If anything this also helps prevent eye strain when reading text that’s small due to zooming in and out of documents all day long.

15-inch laptops are still good but they do require some scrolling because their screen resolution isn’t as high (1920×1080 vs 2560×1440).

17 inches would be better if you want something bigger with higher resolutions on your display which will help with clarity.

When considering the screen size, there are two main factors that will affect what is right for you;

  • How much space do you need? And
  • What resolution does the laptop support?

If you’re just viewing documents then a smaller screen such as a 13-inch is usually fine.

But if you’re looking for something larger then go up to the 15 or 17-inch range.

c). RAM

It’s important to get at least 16GB of RAM.

Because anything less than that will make your workload feel extremely sluggish while you’re trying to do things like edit photos or videos in Photoshop, which requires more power from the CPU.

And, therefore, needs more RAM present so it can properly allocate resources between tasks.

If you try to open up too many applications at once without enough memory available this leads to what we call “thrashing” where it starts swapping data back and forth quickly due to lack of space causing system performance to decrease quickly.

d). Battery Life

The best laptops for business in Kenya usually have good battery life.

We recommend at least six hours of video playback on a single charge to make sure you can get through your whole workday without needing the power cable plugged in every hour.

It’s also important that it doesn’t take too long to fully recharge when needed.

So we suggest looking out for models with fast-charging technology such as Quick Charge or Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging.

e). Screen Type

The other main consideration when selecting your laptop’s display type is whether it supports touch input.

If not, make sure that you have a good mouse and/or trackpad at home so you can navigate around easily.

Touch screens are typically more expensive than non-touch equivalents, though they do offer some benefits like increased mobility and better response time across their surface area (e.g., drawing straight lines with them).

We recommend going hands-on in-store to see what suits your needs best before making the purchase.

f). Processing Power

A powerful processor will give any laptop more zing and responsiveness, so consider a system with at least an i-series Intel Core processor.

g). Screen Resolution

Nowadays most screens are HD or Full HD which is perfect for watching videos on the go.

On top of that, some displays offer touch input support to give you added convenience when surfing websites and scrolling through your photo collections.

If not, make sure that you have a good mouse and/or trackpad at home so you can navigate around easily.

What are the benefits of using a business laptop?

The major benefit of using a work-specific laptop is that it comes with built-in protection against viruses, hackers, and other cyber threats to your data.

A company will typically invest in IT security for their laptops because they understand how important this investment can be.

The net result: you’ll have peace of mind knowing that there’s less risk involved when taking on sensitive information from clients or colleagues without any fear about what might happen if your computer were compromised by malware at home.

There are also additional features like preinstalled apps (including encryption software) which help businesses cut down on tech expenditure and eliminate spending money each time new versions come out.

You won’t need to worry about compatibility issues with software or hardware, either.
